Case study · Custom Shopify theme
KVOX: a custom theme for camping gear.
A Shopify theme coded from scratch for a camping and outdoor equipment maker. Product pages tell the story in the brand’s own voice: technical detail, field use and comparison on the same page.
Two screens, one store
Drag the slider

The faded one is the home page, the coloured one the product page. Technical detail and the path to cart live on the product page.

Screen notes
The “What are you looking for?” block splits categories into image cards: camp tables, grills, chairs and stools. Shoppers reach the right shelf without opening the menu.
On mobile, a bottom bar keeps home, categories, search, account and cart under the thumb.
Technical dimensions sit in a single row on the product page, so comparing doesn’t need a separate page.

What I took from it
The most valuable thing this project gave me was a method: close the scope in writing, have every stage approved separately, and note later requests as separate items.
This case shows how that method works in a real store. Happy to talk about a similar project.
